Peruvian Chrysocolla Shark Necklace
I’ve recently discovered this version of Chrysocolla and I LOVE the coloring! Each unique and the Peruvian version is a bit brighter and bluer than the U.S. version. Chrysocolla is usually found near turquoise deposits and can be found intermingled with Azurite, Malachite, jasper, quartz, lapis and turquoise…that all depends on where it is mined.
The color is this particular stone is so delicious! Not sure why, but it asked for a shark. Either side could be considered the ‘front’.
I forgot to take a picture next to a coin for size reference…oops. Hoping the picture with all of the other necklaces helps put in into perspective.
Set in sterling silver, this pendant hangs 1 3/4” from top of sterling silver chain.
